My name is Ibtisam, and I’m a 23-year-old traveler and founder of Nomadic Muslims. My journey of rediscovering Islam led me to realize the need for third spaces beyond the masjid. Along the way, I also discovered my passion for travel, which unlocked aspects of myself that I believe would have remained hidden otherwise. I recognized that many Muslim women have a deep desire to embark on this powerful journey of self-discovery, but may feel hesitant to travel solo or struggle to find companions with matching schedules.
This realization inspired the creation of Nomadic Muslims—a community dedicated to exploring both the world and the self, all within a supportive and inclusive environment.
